Choosing your wedding photographer may be one of the most trying parts of planning your wedding. After all, when the day is over the pictures will be what you are going to have to remember the day. There are so many variables to take into consideration when narrowing down your choice. The Raleigh area is thankfully blessed with some of the best wedding photographers in the nation. The first thing you should think about is the style the photographer shoots in. There is the traditional style with its posed pictures and the photojournalistic style which tries to minimize the impact of the photographer in the event. Some photographers are adept at shooting in black and white while others really show off their ability to capture the beautiful colors of your day. Ask your photographer if they have ever shot a wedding in the venue you plan to use. The experienced ones will know the best angles and secret spots to use for that perfect shot. Be sure you are clear on delivery times and exactly what will be delivered. Do you get all of the negatives or a cd with all the shots on them? Will the photographer archive your originals for a certain period of time? Then there are the questions about how many shooters will be in attendance and what they will wear. When it all comes down to the end you will be faced with a couple of overriding factors. Do you feel comfortable with the photographer? Do you like their work? How much will it cost? Only the bride can truly weigh these answers and come up with the right answer for her.
